Looking for a Physics tutor to help improve grades, confidence and understanding? My name is Tim Clark. I can help you, or your son/daughter, achieve their goals in the subject.
I am an enthusiastic and experienced A level physics teacher, with an excellent track record teaching A level Physics and GCSE Physics spanning 20+ years. Please read the feedback I have received from my students.
My style is to be supportive, encouraging and to provide the challenge needed to improve. The starting point is always an assessment of where the student is currently at. I then put a plan in place to help get you to where you need to be.
Quite often, students have a few problem areas. Having things explained again clearly and simply can really help. I encourage students to ask questions as we go along. I give clear explanations to deepen understanding and ask questions to check understanding. I make use of exam questions to improve exam technique.
A sequence of lessons will very often lead to a boost in grades.
I mainly offer lessons to A-level Physics students, but also tutor IB Physics, GCSE Physics and IGCE Physics.
Lessons are online, since this allows me to work with you wherever you are based, and is more flexible and convenient for students. All you need is a tablet or a laptop with an internet connection. We will use Zoom for the lessons, with interactivity through screen sharing and whiteboard.
My rates for online sessions are £85/hour, payable on the day of the lessons, apart from the first session which is a free 30 minute discussion about your needs and what I can offer, with no obligation. The aim is to reduce the risk considerably on your side and to make sure we are both happy to proceed with the lessons.
